During the Oct 10th and 11th 2008, Bloomington,
MN Diamond National World Karate
Championships. Matt Hunter from the Thunderbirds National Karate Team training
out of the Karate Training Centers won four 1st place! Matt won the
8/9 yr old intermediate Traditional Forms, Traditional Weapons, Creative Forms
and Sparring divisions. Coach Martin said "this is a really exceptional performance,
the Diamond Nationals is the best run tournament on the NASKA circuit. To win is
great, but to win four places is very special!" Matt Hunter now in his third season
of sport karate is a 4th grade student at
Bay
Haven Charter
Academy and is a straight "A"
student. When not training for karate competition Matt likes to play Nintendo DS
– his favorite game is Nintendodogs. Way to go Matt!
