Happy Veteran's Day Panama City! Thank you and well done to
those of you who have served so valiantly for our country and for our rights
over the years. The Veteran's Day Parade was a great success as the marching
bands, vehicles, and most importantly, war heroes of Panama City proudly marched down Harrison Avenue
this morning. It certainly did well honoring those who have laid down their
lives for us as well as those who still live on this day. The line-up of bands,
vehicles, and floats ended right on cue with the singing of the national
anthem, and several speeches by WWII Veterans and Vietnam Veterans alike.
Amongst these, the last man to speak was Brig. Gen.
Darryl L. Roberson of Tyndall Air Force Base who ended his speech with the
wreath laying ceremony right as four F-15's flew overhead. The spectacle was
breath taking and awe-inspiring. If you missed it this year, be sure to show up
next year to witness a wonderful display of patriotism, music, and heroes.
